What is The Maddy Rose Fund? Maddy Rose was diagnosed with TRAPS in March 2008 after suffering from symptoms of the disease since 3 months of age. Thanks to the determination of her parents, Maddy was able to receive a diagnosis and start treatment at an early age, hopefully preventing any long term damage to her systems. Because of the impact that this disease has had on their daughter's life, Maddy's parents, Karen and Kevin, decided to create The Maddy Rose Fund to help create awareness about TRAPS, prompt more education about the disease in addition to raising funds for families who are struggling to keep up with the large medical bills that are a result of a TRAPS diagnosis. Karen and Kevin have also created a web forum for those affected by TRAPS and their families to connect and share information. |
